DIGITALIS PURPUREA MOTHER TINCTURE This homeopathic remedy is prepared from the leaves of the second year of the Foxglove plant. It is used to make the drug Digoxin in modern medicine to improve heart pumping. It is indicated for the following condition It is specially suited for the conditions of the Heart Weak and dilated heart. Helps increase beating and pumping of heart The rhythm of beating of heart is disturbed. Fainting, cold limbs and blueness of hands and feet. Disease of heart valves Sensation as if heart stood still. Heart failure after fever. Liver enlargement- jaundice with heart disease. It strengthens the heart muscles. Eye Objects appear green and yellow. Perception of shades of green is altered. Detachment of retina. Stomach Gastritis with faintness and severe nausea Stool is white, chalk like, ash coloured and pasty stool. Respiration Chronic bronchitis with blood stained phlegm. Desire to take a deep breath. Breathing irregular, difficult; deep sighing. Cannot bear to talk Mind Anxious about future. Heaviness of head, with sensation as if it would fall backward Cracking sounds during a nap Dose- 15 drops of Digitalis purp mother tincture in half a cup of normal water twice each day for 3 months unless otherwise prescribed by the physician. Can be taken along with allopathic medicines. Precautions Maintain half an hour gap between food/drink/any other medicines and homeopathic medicine.
