Persol AC 2.5 Gel is used in the treatment of acne.

PERSOL AC 2.5 GEL USES:

BENZOYL PEROXIDE: It is used to treat mild to moderate acne. It may be used in combination with other acne treatments. When applied to the skin, benzoyl peroxide works by reducing the amount of acne-causing bacteria and by causing the skin to dry and peel.

ACNE:

Acne is a chronic, inflammatory skin condition that causes spots and pimples, especially on the face, shoulders, back, neck, chest, and upper arms.

Spots erupting on the face or, less commonly, on other parts of the body, are medically called acne vulgaris, or just acne. The gland produces an oily secretion called sebum. Under the influence of puberty hormones such as testosterone and estrogen, the sebaceous glands become hyperactive, to produce more sebum with altered characteristics.

PIMPLES:

Overproduction of oil and a build-up of bacteria contribute to pimples.
