
DIARRHEA
Acute diarrhea is usually due to infection by such bacteria as Staphylococcus, E. Coli, Salmonella, or Shigella or such parasites as Amebas or Giardia lamblia.
SYMPTOMSThe stools are loose or watery, sometimes profuse or explosive and may be foul-smelling. Food particles may be found in the stool.
